Memorial Day came and passed, and I failed to blog about our trip to Raleigh, North Carolina, where we visited Erin and Jason. It was tons of fun catching up with them -- it had been exactly a year since we saw them last, as they made the drive down here last Memorial Day weekend. They live in a really cute triplex in a historic section of Raleigh, not far from downtown. Their place has a fabulous porch, and we spent much of our time relaxing on it, chatting and drinking good wine. Jarrett and I really miss having these two around -- we always have a good time hanging out. And as you can see from the photos, Olive is still as cute as ever.
Last night was the Fifth Annual Margarita Bomb Party, which, at least in my opinion, was a huge success. We had an awesome time, and it at least seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. I'm not sure how many people showed up in the end, but we're pretty sure it was close to 60 (if not a few more) based on the number of glasses used, and we went through two freakin' gallons of tequila. Scary -- scary, indeed. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, which was a welcomed change from the thunderstorms last year. It's always more fun when you can lounge around outdoors. The party went on until about 4:30 a.m. this morning, so needless to say, we're a bit pooped, but it was totally worth it. Jarrett's brothers came down and stayed with us for the weekend, allowing them to take part in the debauchery as well. It was good to see them -- we just wish they could have stayed longer. Anyway, if you missed out on the party, you missed a good one. But don't worry -- Margarita Bomb is not dead yet.
