GREAT Grandmas!

My grandmother flew into Charlotte from Oregon last week, leaving Thursday and, after quite the fiasco, arriving early Friday morning. After some much-needed rest, my mom and grandma drove down to pay us a visit on Sunday afternoon. They were here until around Elsa's naptime (which never happened anyway) yesterday. Elsa had so much fun with her grandma and great grandma (whom she fondly refers to as "great great grandma"). The funny thing is that Elsa is privileged enough to have a great great grandmother, whom she was so lucky to meet a year ago April. So we decided she was calling her great grandma her GREAT (as in truly wonderful) great grandma. It was very endearing.

We had a lovely time together despite the fact that we did not really accomplish all of what we had planned. But it didn't matter. We had some yummy meals together, had fun on the playground at Piedmont Park, and just generally had a nice time.
