I took the boot off of Elsa as of last Wednesday morning, as it had been a week and she just did not seem able to get the hang of walking with the cumbersome apparatus on her leg. It was clear she wanted to walk -- she would try -- but the boot just made her very lopsided and it was extremely difficult for her to keep her balance for very long. So off it came. She was very hesitant to walk on Wednesday, but on Thursday after a visit to our chiropractor, she was gaining more confidence and started walking more and more (seen in the video above). By this last weekend, she was walking like a champ. She still has a bit of a limp, which is more noticeable at times than others, but overall she is doing great.
