It was quite funny to witness Elsa trying to walk around in these unfamiliar shoes. They proved to be quite less flexible than the soft-soled shoes she is used to wearing. She even seemed kind of scared of them at first until we assured her that these were just a different type of shoe. It did not take too long for her to grow somewhat accustomed to the stiffer sole.
This was not the first time Elsa had seen snow, but it was the first time she had actually been out in it and experienced it firsthand. She seemed to enjoy trudging through the snow, but was not extremely fond of touching it (or, thus, falling down in it). She didn't even seem too excited about the snowman I made this morning, though did crack a bit of a smile upon first glance.

Our sled-dog-at-heart thoroughly enjoyed the wintery goodness as well.

The snow is already well on its way to melting away, but it was beautiful -- and fun -- while it lasted. It was enough of a treat even that I forgive it for causing the cancellation of the massage appointment I had scheduled for today, which I was very much looking forward to. Making the snowman -- something I have not done in years -- was a good enough substitution, at least for today.

We enjoyed it, too. Ed made the bottom third of a snowman on our deck. It never got finished. :) Ed made a bit of snow ice cream, which we enjoyed. We took a walk with the dogs this morning and then cleaned off our cars, which I always enjoy for some reason. :) (We did move the cars, so the sun could get some of it off, however.) Then, we talked to our across-the-street neighbors for awhile. Etc., etc.
Yay!
How cute! She looked like a little robot in that first clip.
