Fun, Fun, Fun

After dragging Elsa around to four different farmers markets on Saturday morning, we decided maybe she was due for some fun on Sunday. After a great first official church service at the new church plant of our dear friend and pastor, Matt Armstrong, and a fun picnic immediately following, the glorious, much-awaited rain set in. And what better excuse to visit a madhouse filled with bouncy castles and structures of all shapes and sizes than a rain-filled afternoon? Jarrett has been dying to take Elsa to Leapin' Lizards for quite sometime now, so he was very excited when I made the suggestion that we go. Elsa and I have been there many a time, but only to go to music class, which was held in one of the private rooms -- never have we actually bounced. Well, yesterday was the day. And bounce, Elsa definitely did. We started her out on the area reserved for children who are three or under. She immediately started stumbling around on the bouncy surface, but wasn't quite sure of the slide at first. As soon as she went down once, though, she was hooked.

And then she graduated to the larger slides and bouncy structures, though either Jarrett or I had to go with her or she likely would have been trampled by the overly excited older kids. Elsa loved it. She was laughing almost manically, and insisting that we go again and again. Both Mommy and Daddy were well worn out by the end of our stay, and I think Elsa was too. We went to Saba for dinner afterward, and she ate more than she has in weeks.

This morning we met friends at the aquarium and, of course, Elsa had to say hello to Deepo. I think she would take the fellow home with her if she could.

Fun, indeed!

Are you all going to be part of the new Village Church? Tim's going to get together with Matt while he's there next month to hear about it and talk about our future urban church, too...
