Aveline's Birthday Party

After Elsa's big bash, I did not have it in me to have another large party, so we had a small gathering with the LeBlancs and Roberts here at the house. There was not any real theme, except maybe "pink." With Avie's love of pink, it worked out well to use the leftover pink and teal decorations from Elsa's party. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, and there were chips and dip, pasta salad, and baked beans. And, most importantly, there were chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting. All Avie kept saying when there was talk about her birthday party was "Cake!" and "Twinkle, Twinkle." So the cupcakes made her happy. And we ended up singing "Twinkle, Twinkle" to her after the birthday song (I think this pairing came about because "Twinkle, Twinkle" is sung during birthday celebrations at Gabriela's, and Avie remembered this from celebrating Elsa's birthday).

She wore a new little party dress and a cute, matching headband (at least for a little while). Avie seemed to have a fun time, enjoying the extra company for sure. I'll leave it to the photos and videos to say the rest.

So lovely! And she looks adorable in that outfit. How in the world did you keep that flower on her hair? Funny that she loves pink. Same with Sofia.
